01 / Introduction

## About Andrew Rose

Elections BC lists Andrew Rose as the OneBC candidate in Burnaby South-Metrotown. On the copy of the list stamped October 3, 2026 7:00:07 PM, which is after nominations closed at 1 p.m. that day, the district shows four candidates: Paul Choi (BC NDP), Bryan Fockler (BC Green Party), Andrew Rose (OneBC) and David Xie (Conservative).

His OneBC candidate page says he was born and raised in Ontario's Niagara region, studied computer science at Brock University with a focus on artificial intelligence and software systems design, worked at Amazon.com in Seattle, and moved to British Columbia in 2002. It says he lives in Burnaby South with his wife, son and daughter, and has helped organizations across the province improve the way they deliver services. voche.me has not checked his education or work history with a school or an employer.

The same page says he volunteers on the parent advisory council at his children's school, helps run his strata (the owners' group that manages a building) and organizes neighbourhood events, and that he wants small and medium-sized businesses to have room to grow with fewer rules. It says he wants to use his skills in business architecture, organization and systems design with OneBC. These are the party's words about him, and voche.me found no independent source for them.

The page quotes a belief attributed to him: "if we do not put in the work to preserve the things we find beautiful, they have a habit of going away." It names no policy and lists no events, website or social accounts for him.

voche.me has not contacted the campaign. OneBC's priorities page does not name him, so its platform items on this page are the party's.

The name search was limited: the WebSearch tool had reached its usage limit, so voche.me read Google News result lists and the party's pages directly. Searches for his name with OneBC, Burnaby South-Metrotown and Burnaby 2026 returned no report that names him. Bing and DuckDuckGo returned no readable result for his name. His OneBC page links no website or social account for him, so none was read. The party's own Instagram, LinkedIn and X accounts were not opened, and nothing from them is used. His education and his work at Amazon.com, his consulting work, his school parent advisory council role and his strata role come from his party page and were not checked with those bodies. Common-name records were not matched to him: no public record was attributed to him without a source that ties it to this candidate. No public role is on record in the profile, so no minutes search applies. No event or all-candidates meeting for him was found. OneBC's priorities page does not name him. The questionnaire has not been sent.

## What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-03: the Elections BC candidate list and key dates page; OneBC's candidate page for him, its candidates page and its priorities page. The name search was limited: the WebSearch tool had reached its usage limit, so voche.me read Google News result lists and the party's pages directly. Bing and DuckDuckGo returned no readable result for his name.

No news report, website or public social account for him was found. OneBC's candidate page links none, and the party's own accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn and X) are the party's, so nothing from them is used. He holds no public role on record in the profile, so no minutes were searched. An empty section records what voche.me did not find on this date.
