Elections BC lists Amanda Burrows as the BC NDP candidate in Vancouver-Strathcona. The list shows nominations that Elections BC has accepted.
The district has no sitting member. Joan Phillip, the BC NDP MLA for Vancouver-Strathcona, died on August 28, 2026, CBC News reported, and the legislature lists the seat as vacant. Phillip was first elected in a 2023 by-election.
In 2024, Phillip won the district with 13,673 votes (68.17 percent), according to the Elections BC statement of votes. Burrows is not on that ballot.

None of the 12 releases on the party's releases page names her. A search found social media accounts under the name Amanda Burrows on X, Instagram, Facebook and Bluesky. The X account could not be found, the Bluesky account is deactivated, and Instagram and Facebook show only a sign-in page. No page ties any of them to this candidacy, so nothing from them is used. Search results also show a person named Amanda Burrows who is executive director of First United, a charity in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. No page read on 2026-09-30 names that person as the BC NDP candidate in Vancouver-Strathcona, so voche.me treats the two as unconnected until a source ties them together, and nothing from that record is used.
