The Langley Advance Times reported that Langley Strong swept all five Township seats on the Board, which has two more seats elected in Langley City, and won the mayor's chair and six of the eight council seats. The new Board's inaugural meeting is on November 3, 2026, by the District's meeting schedule.

The Township's 2022 results give him 6,778 votes, ninth of the ten Township trustee candidates that year. The Aldergrove Star reported in 2022 that he was a Langley Secondary graduate who had taught human kinetics at Trinity Western University as an assistant professor for 25 years, had coached soccer for 40 years, had been technical director of the Ridge Meadows Soccer Club and worked as a coach developer and evaluator for BC Soccer and the Canadian Soccer Association, and that his priorities then were preparing students for work, further study or life, long-term planning for school finances and property, and dialogue with teachers, staff, students and families. Trinity Western's profile page lists his degrees, a Master of Science in performance analysis from the University of Middlesex in 2014 and a physical education degree from Trinity Western in 1991, his coaching certificates and the courses he teaches. By his own account on the Langley Strong site he has lived in the Township for more than 45 years and has taught at Trinity Western for close to 30 years.

Langley Strong announced on September 10, 2026 that he had joined its team, and said that after losing in 2022 he had kept attending Board meetings and asking questions; that is the organization's account, in the words of Board chair Candy Ashdown. In the Advance Times' candidate profile of October 8 he wrote that, with grandchildren nearing school age, he wanted every Langley student to learn safely and be prepared for life, and that he would bring data-informed thinking to the Board. In the organization's trustee platform release of September 19 he said land should be secured early, classrooms should keep pace with rooftops and the Province should pay for portables so that money stays in the classroom. No report of a court matter names him.

On his page he writes that his priorities follow the five pillars of the Langley Strong platform, and in his own words that he will push for schools planned before neighbourhoods arrive, with early coordination between the District and local governments, clear enrolment projections and timely provincial investment; for budgets that hold up over the long term, with the costs of staffing, operating and maintaining new buildings understood; for active dialogue with teachers, staff, students and families, with involvement that begins while there is still time to shape a decision; and for district reporting that answers in plain language what the District is trying to achieve, what evidence shows progress and what should change. In the announcement he said that trades, college, work and university are all paths, and that the measure of a district is whether a student is ready for the one they chose.

## What voche.me has checked

Researched on 2026-10-30 through the seven search steps listed below: the Township's results page, declaration of candidates and About the Candidates page; the Township's 2022 results page; the Langley School District's trustee page and board meetings page; his page on the Langley Strong site, the team page, the trustee platform, its release of September 19 and his announcement of September 10, 2026; Trinity Western University's profile page for him; his VoteMate page; the Advance Times' candidate profile of October 8 and its reports of October 17, 2026; and the Aldergrove Star's report of his 2022 run, read from an Internet Archive copy because the Star's old address now opens its home page.

His 2022 count comes from the Township, his degrees from the university's own page, and his teaching and coaching from the Star. His years in the Township and the years he counts at the university are his own account. His Facebook page, the one he gave the Township, was not read, because the site shows a login page to scripts. He held no office before this election, so no Board record was read. No report of a 2026 trustee all-candidates meeting quoting him was found.
