01 / Introduction

## About Daniel Boisvert

Daniel Boisvert was re-elected to Delta Council on October 17, 2026. The City of Delta's official count gives him 9,946 votes, sixth among the 20 council candidates and the last of the six elected, and the Chief Election Officer declared him elected on October 21, 2026. The North Delta Reporter reported that this was 5.97 per cent of the ballots cast for councillor, and that he was one of two One Delta candidates elected to Council, with Sylvia Bishop.

The Reporter reported on October 21, 2018 that he was one of three Achieving for Delta candidates elected to the Delta Board of Education that year. The City's declaration of official results of October 19, 2022 names him among the six councillors elected in 2022, and the Reporter reported that he had 14,130 votes that year, third behind Alicia Guichon and Dylan Kruger. The City's council page lists him as a member of the Delta Police Board and of the Delta Council and Delta Board of Education Liaison Committee, an alternate director on the Metro Vancouver board, and Council liaison to the Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association.

The Delta Optimist reported in December 2025 that at a May 2024 Council meeting he and Councillor Jennifer Johal each introduced motions aimed at the mayor, including the mayor's removal from the Metro Vancouver board, where Harvie was chair, and that the rest of Council voted for them except Guichon, who was on leave. He, Kruger, Johal and Rod Binder said in a statement then that Council had lost confidence in the mayor's ability to represent the City at Metro Vancouver. The Optimist reported that on December 2, 2025 Achieving for Delta told the four councillors it would not endorse them in 2026, and that the four called the decision an attempt to silence concerns about the mayor's spending. The Reporter reported on April 7, 2026 that the four had formed One Delta, with former councillor Bruce McDonald as its president.

By his own account, on the One Delta site, in the statement he gave the Optimist and in the Reporter's questionnaire, he has lived in Delta for more than 50 years, became a notary public in 2008 and runs his practice in South Delta, was vice president of the Society of Notaries Public of BC and founding president of the BC Notaries Association, served as vice chair of the Board of Education, and has been a director of the Heron Hospice Society of Delta. The City's council page carries the same account of his notary career and his board roles. voche.me has not checked them with the Society, the Association or the hospice society.

In the Reporter's questionnaire he named three priorities: safe streets, affordability and infrastructure that keeps up with growth. He wrote that One Delta committed to no new taxes, fees or levies and to lowering the age for the Super Seniors Recreation Pass from 75 to 70. In his Optimist statement he wrote that infrastructure has not kept up with growth and that the One Delta plan would grow the industrial areas to pay for roads and sidewalks. The One Delta platform carries the slate's promises, listed on this page as the organization's.

Research status

## What voche.me has checked

Researched on 2026-10-30 through the seven search steps listed below: the City's declaration of results, results by polling location, declaration of candidates, candidates page, council members page and 2022 declaration of results; the One Delta site's team page, platform and tax release; his VoteMate page; the North Delta Reporter's questionnaire and its reports of October 2018, April 7, May 27, September 4, September 29 and October 18, 2026; the Delta Optimist's report of December 3, 2025; and the statement he gave the Optimist, read from an Internet Archive copy because the Optimist's article pages refuse scripts.

His seat on Council, his Police Board seat and his other appointments come from the City's own pages, and his 2018 election as a trustee from the Reporter. His notary career and his professional and volunteer roles are his own account. The May 2024 motions come from the Optimist's report; the Council minutes themselves were not read, because the City's meetings site draws its pages with script. His posts on Facebook and Instagram were not read, because both sites show a login page to scripts. No report of a 2026 all-candidates meeting quoting him was found.

The City's declaration of October 19, 2022 names him among the councillors elected in 2022, and he was re-elected on October 17, 2026. The City's council page lists him as a member of the Delta Police Board, an alternate director on the Metro Vancouver board and Council liaison to the Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association.

### Notary public, South Delta

By his own account, in his Optimist statement and on the One Delta site; the City's council page carries the same account. He says he was vice president of the Society of Notaries Public of BC and founding president of the BC Notaries Association. voche.me has not checked this with the Society or the Association.
