WHAT THIS BODY DOES

## What you are electing

Trustees are elected across the whole City, and every voter in Burnaby chooses from the same list. The City of Burnaby held the vote for the Board of Education with its own election.

The City of Burnaby’s election page says the Burnaby Board of Education is a policy-making body whose main function is to set procedures and guidelines for the operation of Burnaby’s 49 public schools, and that the Board has seven trustees elected for a four-year term.
