That is a finding about what is on the public record on that date. It does not tell you what the party would do in office. **Where we looked:** - NEW Burnaby's platform page, all eight areas - NEW Burnaby's About and home pages - NEW Burnaby's candidates page and the page for Haini Xiao, its candidate for School Trustee **What is missing:** - NEW Burnaby ran one candidate for School Trustee, Haini Xiao, who was not elected. Its platform and About page hold no commitment for the Board of Education. - Haini Xiao's page on the site describes her background and says she is committed to supporting students, families and educators. That is her own statement as a candidate, and it names no specific step. ## Sources A source marked SAYS SO ITSELF is the party's own material. It proves what the party claims, not that the claim is true. 1.
