All 1 of its candidates are standing for Councillor, where 8 seats are being filled on October 17. With one candidate for Councillor, it is asking for a voice on that body rather than control of it. NEW Burnaby is not running a candidate for mayor, so it is contesting Councillor only. 1 OF 8 SEATS CONTESTED ## Councillor [**Richard T. Lee**Councillor, City of Burnaby](https://voche.me/bc/burnaby-2026/candidates/richard-t-lee) ### NEW Burnaby is not running for Mayor, School Trustee No NEW Burnaby candidate appears on the official City of Burnaby candidate list for these races. A blank here records that, and nothing more. ### How a candidate is linked to a party Only the official City of Burnaby candidate list decides which party a candidate belongs to on this site. A party's own list of candidates is not enough on its own, and a candidate running with no party is never attached to one. ## Sources A source marked SAYS SO ITSELF is the party's own material. It proves what the party claims, not that the claim is true. 1.
