The BCA ran seven candidates for the Board of Education, and all seven were elected. Many of the points are requests to other governments: the platform says the BCA will press the Ministry of Education to build for projected enrolment and to fund learning supports, and will press Ottawa to keep funding Settlement Workers in Schools. SOGI stands for sexual orientation and gender identity. The platform calls the district's SOGI policy an anti-bullying policy and promises to keep it strong. The platform lists past work it says BCA trustees delivered, among them new schools at Burnaby North Secondary and Stride Avenue and more than 700 new childcare spaces in eight years.
