# Vancouver election information you can check.

We are building a guide to Vancouver’s municipal election. This preview shows sample candidate profiles, a comparison tool, and a voting location layout.

The profiles and locations are placeholders. Check the [City of Vancouver’s election website](https://vancouver.ca/your-government/2026-election.aspx) for official information.

## Our planned editorial standards

- Link factual claims to sources readers can inspect.
- Distinguish documented facts, candidate statements, and opinion.
- Use the same profile fields and comparison questions for each candidate.
- Include named authors, publication dates, verification dates, and visible corrections in published reporting.
- Use official sources for voting locations, deadlines, and eligibility.

## What still needs to be published

Before publishing reporting, we need to identify the editorial team, disclose ownership and funding, and provide a working contact and corrections address. Those details have not been supplied for this preview.
